July Intake for the IBC Introduction to Business Management Course

Details of the course

The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute and all delegates receive one year’s membership to the CMI,  where they can access a huge amount of extra managerial learning content. Once the delegate has completed and passed the course, a certificate will be issued directly to the clerk by the CMI.

The course is in three parts:

  1. The legal and professional environment – eLearning course administered and assessed on-line.
  2. Negotiation and communication skills – one day classroom training day held at 7 Bedford Row, London on 29th September 2022.  This is assessed by an essay and exercise submitted in the delegate’s own time.
  3. The work of chambers, including business development – eLearning course administered and assessed on-line.

Full details of the content of the course are available here: https://ibc-education.co.uk/intro-to-business-management/streLearning

Intake date

You can enrol at any time, from now up until the last working day in July, by completing the form online https://ibc-education.co.uk/intro-to-business-management/enrolment/  The delegate will be registered and sent their log-in details in mid-July, to enable them to begin the course.  Chambers will be invoiced at the same time with 30-day terms.

Costs

The cost of the course is £1,695 + VAT, but this is discounted to £1,395 + VAT for IBC members. We need the delegates IBC number to apply the discount.

Remote delivery

The course has been designed so it can be accessed by everyone, no matter the location or budget. The eLearning platform has been developed so delegates can work within their own time frame and working pressures.  We expect the course to take approximately six months from log-in to completion.  The only fixed day is the classroom day which is held in London.  This can be held outside of London if we have enough delegates to warrant it, however, our experience so far is that learners have enjoyed the experience of visiting the Inns and networking with other clerks from far and wide.

Although the delivery of the content is done remotely, we are very keen to ensure that learners are fully supported throughout, and we are always available to give specific help and guidance.  We have a very open-door policy and respond quickly with help and advice.
