CCMS has completely crashed and been shut down for the time being. [it has now been out of action for a week already]

The Chairman of the Bar and the Head of the LAA met yesterday to try and get an interim system set up.

This could mean a credit payment being made on cases – which will be recouped upon the system being restored – or paper claims being accepted. As the whole of the LAA staff are working from home that will be difficult to organise.

Both will create a lot of work and will be very time consuming.

We await the LAA’s response/suggestions as to what they will be able to do.

Clearly as soon as I have any further information I will let you all know
