Job description
Job title: Practice Manager
Reporting line(s): 1) Business Support Manager
2) Director of Clerking
Purpose of the role:
To provide a professional, approachable and efficient clerking service.
Key responsibilities:
| General clerking duties, including: Managing barristers’ diaries Calculating and billing fees Development of barristers’ practices Processing of professional clients’ communications Liaison with Court Diary Managers / Listing Office Coordination and placement of mini-pupils and work shadowers Provision of management information Participating in business development opportunities. |
The following responsibilities apply to all staff:
Such tasks as may be reasonably required of you by the Director of Clerking and Business Support Manager.
Adherence to all relevant policies and procedures
Security of the premises
Such duties as trained to undertake regarding the emergency exiting of the premises
Such physical tasks as may be required (in accordance with Chambers’ Health and Safety Policy)
Assisting colleagues in their duties.
