The Marketing Administrator role presents the successful candidate with an opportunity to work at one of the UK’s leading sets of barristers’ chambers. Marketing works closely with our clerking team. This is an ideal role for anyone looking to start a career in a chambers environment.

12KBW is based within the picturesque and historic Inner Temple Estate (London EC4) overlooking Inner Temple Gardens and the River Thames.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Event support for seminars, conferences, pupillage fairs, social and charity-based events
  • Managing event bookings
  • Venue set up support for events including catering and name badges
  • Collating contacts for event invitation lists
  • Drawing up delegate lists
  • Client database updates
  • Diary coordination
  • Collating data for reports
  • Uploading content including news items, articles and barrister profile updates
  • Administration of legal directory submissions (Chambers & Partners/Legal 500)
  • Managing marketing stock orders
  • General support as needed

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s including a pass for English and Maths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload across a number of different campaigns and demands, in a busy environment
  • Prepared to work occasionally outside usual office hours when events are taking place
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of working on events would be ideal but it is not a pre-requisite
  • Knowledge or experience of the legal profession would be ideal but is not a pre-requisite.
  • A calm, patient approach to work in a very busy environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers over the telephone, by email and in person
  • Ability to work unsupervised on regular tasks and ensure that they are completed on time

Hours/Days: 20 hours per week. Part time role with occasional work outside normal working hours with flexibility to accommodate events. This role requires you to be present in Chambers for your working hours.
