Salary circa £27,500.00, holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays, workplace pension, and private medical insurance.
23ES is a leading barrister chambers based in Manchester and London, recognised by the major legal directories across all its practice areas.
To assist in their busy workload, the clerks’ room at 23ES Manchester is looking for someone to join them as junior criminal clerk.
Responsibilities will include
· Diary management of a busy criminal and regulatory team, as directed.
· Obtaining the daily court lists, transferring information on to chambers software system.
· Accessing digital case files, adding members as instructed.
· Communicating with chambers clients.
· Entering instructions on to chambers software systems. (LEX)
· Monitoring and distribution of the “Clerks@” mailbox
· Keeping case records up to date on chambers software systems.
· Liaison with court offices relating to diary management
· Assisting barristers with their practice management
· General assistance around chambers as directed by members of chambers, and line managers.
· Attend marketing event on behalf of chambers.
The role is based at our offices at 41 Spring Gardens, Manchester and is a full-time role. Salary circa £27,500.00, holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays, workplace pension, and private medical insurance.
Working Hours, 9am to 6pm, within chambers.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in a clerks’ room, ideally undertaking some or all the above tasks. They will also be hard-working and motivated.
