Job description
2BR is offering an exciting opportunity to an ambitious and highly organised candidate to join our experienced clerking team as Junior Clerk.
Consistently ranked as one of the top barristers’ chambers in the country, 2BR is an extremely busy and highly regarded criminal and regulatory law set. Based in our new and modern premises in 95 Chancery Lane, the role will entail providing daily telephone, diary and inbox management support to the wider clerking team. You will also liaise with professional clients, members, the clerking and administration teams and court staff. You will provide crucial support to the smooth running of chambers with a variety of general clerking duties such as preparation of bundles and document management.
Start date will be as soon as possible. We will be interviewing applicants in the week commencing 25th May 2026 with an offer being made as soon as all interviews are concluded.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided by our clerking and management teams.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs, grades 4 to 9 which must include Maths and English.
- Excellent IT skills: this is an essential requirement.
- The ability to work, once fully trained, closely with Chambers’ members and staff, and without close supervision without close supervision
- To have a likeable personality and a warm approach when dealing with members of Chambers and clients alike.
- Meticulous oral and written presentation.
