Job description

DUTIES

  • Answering telephones: take incoming calls, ascertain query, deal with (if appropriate) or forward call.
  • General office duties (dealing with incoming post and other documents, photocopying/scanning requests, running errands for Members of Chambers, organising the distribution of papers to etc.).
  • Updating electronic records and files with full detail and accuracy (training of Chambers’ systems will be given).
  • Taking direction and instruction from senior members of staff.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Good interpersonal and customer facing skills (in person and via telephone).
  • Ability to learn and implement Chambers’ procedures whilst working under own initiative and /or as part of a team.
  • Ability to produce accurate written communications to a high standard.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks as part of a pressurised workload.

HOURS:   9am to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays, with a one-hour lunch break (40 hours per week)

LOCATION:  25 Bedford Row, London WC1R 4HD

HOLIDAYS:   20 days, plus Bank Holidays
