We are able to announce that our new junior clerk course that is starting in January 2022, with a second intake in July 2022 will be open to take bookings from Monday 13 December.
This new course is going to include:
- The legal and professional environment – covers introduction to the Court system, roles of legal professionals, types of dispute and professional conduct rules
- Negotiation and communication skills – covers written and verbal communication; dealing with difficult people; wellbeing; principles of negotiating (including fee negotiation); contractual basis; direct access
- The work of chambers including business development – covers diary and administrative management; managing workload; networking and marketing.
It will be delivered via a bespoke e-learning portal with multi-choice, open questions, workbooks and an essay together with a 1 day face to face workshop and classroom assessment. This will encompass exercises and role play.
The course is to be accredited and a certificate produced by Chartered Institute of Management (CMI). Delegates will have 1 years membership to the CMI.
Costs is £1395 for members of the IBC and £1795 for non-members.
