Our client is a progressive independent set based in Southampton. Chambers specialise in Criminal, Civil, Regulatory and Employment Law. They have an experienced Clerking team and Chambers prides itself on the approachability of their members and staff, as well as the knowledge and expertise they bring to all work. Chambers is seeking a Second Diary Clerk to join their small and friendly team. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage your own workload and strive to achieve a high standard of working at all times. This role would suit an individual from a legal background.

Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm
Reporting to: Senior Clerk

Responsibilities:
• To assist the Senior Diary Clerk in managing the diary
• Run Chambers Diary when necessary
• Cover Senior Diary Clerk as necessary – holidays/events
• Help cases to be managed efficiently and returned when appropriate
• Assist with the fixing of cases
• Manage the billing Team of Civil & Criminal MOC
• Assist with career development plans of MOC
• Deal with telephone enquiries throughout the day
• Monitor and deal with incoming emails
• Negotiate fees as required
• Assist with CPS/Defence billing once trained
