Halcyon Chambers is a small-mid sized Barristers Chambers specialising primarily in Civil, Family, and Immigration law/Public Law.
We are seeking to recruit up to two Barristers Clerks to join our expanding Clerks Team in Birmingham. Working in a team of 4 or 5, the role is fast paced and the ability to multi task is essential.
The successful candidate(s) will be well-organised, committed to delivering a high quality of service and thrive to work as part of a team and individually. Strong IT skills and a professional telephone manner are essential and applicants must have prior administrative experience, preferably in the legal field.
Job responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Organising bookings, listings and diary management for Members of Chambers
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
- Assisting in the development of individual practices
- Maintaining efficient and comprehensive records
- Assisting with general administrative duties
Normal hours of work are 9.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday. From time to time you may be required to work reasonable additional hours for the proper and effective performance of your duties and so a pro-active and a flexible working attitude is required.
