As work progresses on the review of CPS fees it is important that barristers’ clerks and fees clerks are given the opportunity to engage and contribute. Barristers’ clerks are uniquely placed to provide valuable input on the practicalities of the fee payment process.

To enable the fees review to gain your input, a series of Reference Groups will be held to discuss the key outputs of the review and the issues under consideration. A Reference Group meeting for the South Eastern Circuit has been arranged for Wednesday 21 August at 23 Essex Street from 2pm to 4pm. This initiative has the support of the leadership of both the Bar and CPS nationally, and the SE Circuit leader.

The discussion at this event will focus on matters relating to the implementation of CPS GFS scheme D, to come into effect on 1 September, as well a wider discussion on potential future changes.

Attendance in person is preferred attendees can also join by phone. There is a limit on places at 2 per chambers. Please register your interest with Martin Secrett at martin.secrett@9bedfordrow.co.uk
